SOM Student Elected to National AMA Student Governing Council

SOM Class of 2017 medical student Jayme Looper has been elected as the new At-Large Officer for the American Medical Association - Medical Students Section Governing Council.

In her new role, Looper will coordinate special projects (like the National Service Project) for the AMA-MSS and act as the primary liaison to student leaders of each region, state and school. She has been active in the organization since 2013.

Looper plans to pursue anesthesia for her residency, and hopes to utilize her master’s degree in bioengineering in future research.
