Drs. Gregorio Gomez and Tonya Colpitts Publish Study in National Immunology Journal


Dr. Gregorio Gomez and Dr. Tonya Colpitts, both assistant professors in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at the School of Medicine, have co-authored a study in the Journal of Immunology demonstrating a new and critical role for skin mast cells – the type that cause allergies – in the systemic spread of dengue virus following injection by an infected mosquito.
